Jay serves as President, Managing Partner, and Senior Benefits Consultant at MEBO, supporting MEBO’s vision of its health & benefits team of consultants and benefits brokers. He’s engaged with clients in developing cost-effective and meaningful core and enhanced benefits strategies, placement, communication, enrollment, and administrative solutions. Jay has been a trusted bi-lingual client adviser for over 25 years, with extensive consulting and underwriting expertise in the employee benefits and property-casualty insurance space.
Prior to founding MEBO, Jay had been affiliated with US Retirement & Benefits Partners and AON for several years. Before this tenure, Jay was Partner & President of the Employee Benefits Practice at RMS & Associates, Inc. in Orange County, CA. In that position, Jay was responsible for assisting clients with overall employee benefits consulting, engagement and communication strategies, as well as managing and coordinating meaningful technology, enrollment solutions with a variety of clients, and internal agency resources. Additionally, Jay served as President & CEO of IRG Networks, Inc., Marketing Executive at The Equitable, and has held various sales and management positions at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of California.
Jonathan Torres
Jonathan is a Benefits Consultant at MEBO. He has over 8 years of experience working in the financial services and technology industries. Jonathan spent the majority of his career as a consultant for independent life and health agents helping them identify and eliminate risks associated with living life, legacy planning, and business continuity. Most recently, Jonathan spent 2 years working in San Francisco, CA at the forefront of disruptive financial technology for both Blend and Anchorage. During his time in San Francisco, he worked closely with financial institutions helping them adopt technology to keep pace with modern consumer demands while lowering costs and improving security for the organization.
